| Job Title: Lecturer: Synthesis Project Proposal Development, Master of Arts in Leadership Program
| Salary: - Salary and placement on the lecturer salary scale will be determined by prior experience, education and degree and is competitive with other non-profit higher education institutions and commensurate with qualifications, experience, internal equity considerations and subject to the availability of funding sources.
| Position Responsibilities: - Saint Mary’s College invites applications for part-time lecturer to teach a course in Synthesis Project Proposal Development in the Master of Arts in Leadership Program beginning in winter 2009.
- The M.A. in Leadership program was founded in 2001 originally for public sector professionals who work in dynamic and collaborative environments.
- Presently, students work in both public and private sectors, seeking a personally enriching education that goes beyond conventional managerial orientations of leadership, to one that is reflective of and responsive to the highly complex and dynamic realities of 21st century organizations.
- The development of the learning community is one primary strategy for achieving learning objectives of the program. And competencies such as critical reflection, emotional intelligence, values development, relational and intercultural communication skills are equally significant student outcomes as mastery of course subject matter content.
- The successful candidate must be able to recognize and model these in the teaching of the course. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be able to guide and coach students in the development of a synthesis project proposal, which is based in action research methodologies and demonstrates their learning from implementing a project in the 21st century leadership.
- In addition, the candidate should also be acquainted with more systemic and relational leadership theories and practice. In addition, he or she must be capable of teaching in an accelerated and hybrid online and in person format.
- The successful candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse campus environment and will be expected to contribute to the Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions of the College.

| Qualifications: - Candidates must possess a Master’s degree (PhD highly desirable) in leadership or similar area of expertise, such as organizational behavior, public and business administration, and have experience and expertise in qualitative and action oriented research methodologies.
- The successful candidate must have demonstrated teaching effectiveness in both online and in person formats, and a strong commitment to teaching adult learners.
