Job Title: Recruitment Manager/Human Resource Generalist
Salary:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a regular full-time exempt Recruitment Manager to manage the recruitment process for staff vacancies and faculty searches, plus perform HR generalist responsibilities.  The work is collegial in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse campus environment.  Effectively communicate with a diverse community of staff and faculty.  Saint Mary’s has a highly diverse student population and the work of the Recruitment Manager is vital to bringing the College’s strong commitment to inclusive excellence to fruition.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the mission of the College, which is informed, animated and expressed through its Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions.
  • Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruitment Manager collaborates and consults with staff and faculty hiring managers and/or search committees to develop and implement proactive and diverse recruitment strategies for staff & faculty positions.
  • The manager identifies and coordinates creative and proactive approaches for staff and faculty recruitment, along with coordinating the staff performance review process, managing staff training programs and staff recognition, and counseling supervisors on corrective discipline and policy interpretation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and certification as PHR or SPHR desirable; three to five years experience recruiting for staff, professional and academic positions, or closely-related experience and three to five years Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in higher education or similar settings.  
  • Proven skills in project management, including incorporating the needs of multiple constituencies, attending to details, accuracy and timeliness; outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with accurate grammar, spelling and vocabulary, along with demonstrated skills in making presentations. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and diversity;  interest in and willingness to support the Lasallian, Catholic and Liberal Arts traditions of Saint Mary’s College.  
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and quickly gain credibility as a knowledgable, capable and customer focused professional; demonstrated ability to positively influence others’ decisions; strong team orientation, both within the department and across campus; flexibility and adaptivity; patience when required.  
  • Demonstrated strong initiative and follow-through, and good analytic capability; high integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects with grace; demonstrated up to date knowledge of employment laws and applicable federal and state regulations.  
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint; working knowledge of HRIS and web-based applicant tracking systems.
