| Position Responsibilities: - Saint Mary’s College of California invites applicants for a tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor position in Ethnic Studies. The position will transition to include Program Director responsibilities. Ethnic Studies at Saint Mary’s College is an interdisciplinary program for the critical analysis of race, ethnicity, class, and gender in national and transnational contexts. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the mission of the College, which is informed, animated and expressed through its Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions. We are seeking a candidate dedicated to innovative scholarship, liberatory pedagogy, and community engagement. The College is committed to supporting social justice education, serves many first-generation college students, and embraces a student-centered and multicultural vision.
Position requirements include:
- Teaching core undergraduate ethnic studies courses
- Supervising undergraduate research
- Maintaining an ongoing record of scholarly productivity
